Privacy Policy

We built this service to be private by design. You do not create an account, we do not ask for an email, and we do not track you with advertising or analytics cookies. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, how it is protected, and the rights you have over it.

Only what you type into the assessment form:

• Your name (optional — used for numerology);
• Date, time and place of birth (used to compute your Vedic chart and dosha estimate);
• Sex, height and weight (optional — used for the body-composition estimate);
• Your selected wellness goals.

We do not collect your IP address for profiling, and we do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers. Your birth place is resolved to coordinates using an offline database on our own server, so your location is never sent to an external geocoding service.

We process these details for one purpose: to generate the personalised wellness framework shown on your result page. Some of this information (such as health-related details) may be considered sensitive personal data, so we process it only on the basis of your explicit consent, which you give by ticking the consent box before submitting the form. You can withdraw that consent at any time (see Your rights).

• Your submission is encrypted at the application layer (AES-128 via Fernet) before it is written to our database, so the database only ever holds ciphertext.
• It is saved under a random, unguessable record id — not your name or any account. Your result link is private and is never listed or indexed publicly.
• The encryption key is held separately as a managed secret, not in the database.
• We never sell or rent your data, and we do not share it with third parties except the cloud hosting provider that runs our encrypted database.

Real-time AI analysis

To produce your personalised analysis we send a de-identified summary of your chart (zodiac signs, houses, planetary degrees, traditional "affliction" scores, dosha balance, age and BMI band, and your selected goals) to a third-party AI service, which may also run a live web search to ground its suggestions in current sources. Your name, date of birth, exact birth time, birthplace and coordinates are never sent — only the anonymous chart structure. The AI output is stored inside your encrypted record like the rest of your result. Note that on free AI tiers the provider may use submitted text to improve its models; because what we send carries no identifying information, it cannot be tied back to you. If the AI service is unavailable, the site automatically falls back to its built-in analysis.

We keep your encrypted submission so that your result link keeps working when you return to it. If you would like it erased sooner, contact us (below) and we will delete it. We may remove old records periodically.

Subject to India law — including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and equivalent GDPR-style protections — you can ask us to:

• access a copy of the data held under your result link;
• correct it (or simply re-run the form with corrected details);
• delete it ("right to erasure");
• withdraw your consent, which stops further processing.

To exercise any of these, email privacy@distillai.in and include your result link (or the record id from its URL) so we can locate the encrypted record.

This service is intended for adults. Please do not submit the personal data of a child without the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

If we change this policy we will update the "last updated" date above. Material changes affecting how we use already-collected data will be reflected in a new consent version.
